SATURN – Key Word: The Teacher

Sometimes, the learning process can be difficult. Saturn’s house placement shows the areas of a person’s life where he/she has the most lessons to learn and may have the deep feelings of inadequacy, responsibilities and limitation. Saturn’s action is slow and enduring.
Saturn is also called the Lord of Karma. The position and aspects of Saturn show where a person meets challenging tests, experiences pains and frustration, and encounters obstacles. It symbolizes where the person is able to overcome limitation through a serious approach, and where he/she needs to learn discipline.
Without a well-developed Saturn, the person can not go far in life, because the discipline and experience necessary to accomplishment are lacking. If Saturn is heavily afflicted, the person can be selfish and rigid in their attitudes. This weakness blocks normal life process, and social interaction, and leads to misfortune and personal limitation.
The persons who have a strong Saturn in their birth charts are ambitious. They want to build something of importance and lasting value in the areas which relate to the sign and house Saturn occupies, to the planets Saturn aspects, and their houses and to the signs they rule.

This power can degrade or regenerate any of the affairs ruled by the planets which Pluto aspects.

THE NODES OF THE MOON
The Nodes of the Moon are not planets. They are calculated points in space based on the Moon’s position. There are a North Node and a South Node which are always in opposition to each other. The transit of the Nodes of the Moon is in clockwise direction. (The transit of planets is in counterclockwise direction.)
Traditionally, the North Nodes is viewed to have an influence similar to that of Jupiter, and the South Node has an influence similar to that of Saturn. In a birth chart, the North Node represents the area where development of new talents should be directed. The South Node represents talents already developed.
The Nodes bridge the gap between the previous lives to the present life. The transiting planets to the Nodes will simply bring in the necessary opportunity to make the appropriate changes, if needed.
The North Node: It is also called Dragon’s Head. It deals with expansion and with the way good fortune comes to the individual. The North Node is the bridge to the future. The events deal with the North Node will have some instant benefits, rewards for quick efforts.
The South Node: It is also called Dragon’s Tail. It tends to restrict and isolate the individual in some way. The South Node relates to the past and brings the past life, or karma, influence to the present life. The events dealing with the South Node will have a touch of past life unfinished interactions. When a transiting planet making an unfavorable aspect to the South Nodes, the person will feel some sudden down shift of that planetary energy and notice some sacrifice, self-service, or karmic payment.
Certain signs and planets are closely related in nature and in the manner of their influences. Because of this harmonious relationship, certain planets are said to rule the signs in which they best express their natural qualities.
