Ever since painting began, the work of great masters has been imitated by other painters. Here is my Chinese brush painting of “Head of A Girl with Pearl Earring.” The original “Head of A Girl With Pearl Earring,” oil on canvas, was created by the Dutch artist Vermeer (1632-1675) in 1665. This well known painting takes a closer view of the subject than other works by Vermeer, enabling him to refine the delicate features and subtle coloring.
