“Paper Art – Kuan Yin (9),” Print, 8″x11″, $5.99 Ea

After painting, drawing many images of Kuan Yin , who is the Buddhist Goddess of the Great Compassion , I wish to express the beauty and serenity of Kuan Yin with a different form. So, I tried it with the art of paper-cutting to creat the unique, beautiful images of Kuan Yin in paper form. Here is one of my creations of Kuan Yin . Kuan Yin has many titles and manifestations. “The Giver of Fearlessness” or “The Bestower of Fearlessness” is one of her titles. She can grant fearlessness to living beings. This image depicts Kuan Yin with her right hand showing the gesture of “Fearlessness”, and her left hand holding a lotus flower, a symbol of kindness, purity and wisdom.
