“Paper Art-The Buddha (3),” Print, 8″ x 11″, $5.99 Ea

After painting, drawing many images of Buddha, I wish to express the beauty and serenity of Buddha with a different form. So, I tried it with the art of paper-cutting. Here is my creation of an image of Buddha in paper form. Nothing among the five elements by which we identify ourselves can remain the same. The five elements are: the body, feeling, perception, other mental activities, and consciousness. They are always changing. Change is not just a fact of life we have to accept and work with. It is enlightenment itself, manifesting moment by moment in time. The image depicts the Buddha in the gesture of meditation, which symbolizes perfect balance of thought, peace, and tranquillity, and concentration on the Dharma.
