“Paper Art-The Buddha (4),” Print, 8″x11″, $5.99 Ea

After painting, drawing many images of Buddhas, I wish to express the beauty and serenity of Buddha with a different form. So, I tried it with the art of paper-cutting to create the colorful images of Buddha in paper form. Here is one of my creations. Whenever you are overcome by strong emotions, discomforts, or a sense that your life is spiraling out of control, you can ground yourself in present-moment experience with following practice: (1) bring awareness to the sensations of breathing; (2) attend to other senses such as hearing, seeing. When you are aware in the present moment, you have the option of power. Having the option to create power means you are able to decide what you will say next and do next and the consequences you will create with your words and actions. When you are aware of the present moment, you have access to all possibilities that the present moment offers. The image depicts the Buddha holding a begging bowl which is a symbol of infinite openness and receptiveness.
