After painting, drawing many images of Buddha, I wish to express the beauty and serenity of Buddha with a different form. So, I tried it with the art of paper-cutting to create the colorful images of Buddha. Here is one of my creations. This is a very popular image of Amitabha Buddha . His right hand shows the gesture of granting wishes and His left hand holds lotus flower, a symbol of kindness, purity and wisdom. Buddhism is direct methods of working on ourselves, meditation being the first method. It makes sense to us that the first way to transform our world is to transform ourselves. The worship of Amitabha Buddha originated in India, but took firm roots in China. The Pure Land Buddhism of Amitabha soon spread from China to its neighboring countries. The Pure Land Buddhism has various meditational practices for those who are well on the path. Meditation is an excellent practice of purification of the Mind. It helps us maintain a peaceful and clear mind state.
